About Legacy Landscapes

At Legacy Landscapes, we've been designing, building and stewarding landscapes for over 2 years. 

It all began decades ago when James Cogle, our founder, first got his hands dirty and planted his 1st garden with his mother. That initial seed planted a growing desire and passion over the years to steward Mother Nature. 

For near a decade James has nurtured a relationship between his 3 kids and nature. From a basic backyard garden, to planting an orchard and food forest, to homesteading and raising a flock of 30 laying hens and 30 meat chickens, to studying permaculture techniques and native plants. 

This passion drove James to implement his God given talents and put his faith to work by starting his own company. He developed a business name and logo that would encompass his faith and dedication to his family. James’ skills and love for nature are the legacy he wishes to leave behind to the next generation, therefore Legacy Landscapes came to be. The logo has 3 branches that speak to his faith in God and the task humanity has been given to steward over creation.
